The BHCV operates a rescue service for dogs that
have been abandoned, mistreated or are just not wanted
which may be due to many reasons such as moving,
changing family circumstances or the dog is just not
suited for people's lifestyle.

The aim is to re-home the dog into the best possible
environment.
This is where rescued Bassets will be
advertised....we currently don't have any Bassets that need re-housing.
This service is for Basset Hounds only.
To assist us in providing the right people and
facilities can anyone requiring the service have as much
detail about the dog or dogs available.
Typically information on age, condition, any habits,
medical history and where they can be located, as much
history as possible will assist in how to treat the
hound.
If you are in a position to adopt a relinquished Basset
Hound and provide a safe and loving home...it could be
the best thing you have ever done for yourself...contact
the Puppy
Secretary and add your name to the list.
